ISSUE/PROBLEM
It has been found that the AST Advantage! memory cards can encounter
memory errors when running in machines with the clock speed set at 8MHz.
The makers of the AST Advantage card acknowledge that some of their cards
do have problems running at 8MHz. We recommend that you contact AST if
your cards have this problem.
NOTE Because of the complex nature of compatibility in products designed
for the IBM PC family, untested conditions of incompatibility are
occasionally discovered.
To reduce risks involving the use of products that seem to be compatible
with the IBM PC family standard, we recommend the following:
1. Contact all the manufacturers of the products you plan to use to
determine any known problems associated with the use of the
equipment.
2. Back up your system regularly to prevent the loss of valuable data.
